Clawbot

Being on lockdown has provided a very good opportunity to go back and finish some unfinished projects, including some of my 3d models that have never seen the light of day. A while back I got carried away making robots in Wings, having grown fatigued with trying to make organic figures and badly in need of a bit of light relief. The nice thing with robots is that they're really easy to make; you just have to create generic parts and then put them together, and rigging them is just as simple - import the parts into Poser, parent some parts to the other parts and make sure the pivot centre is where you want it. No nonsense. You can even reuse the parts once you've made them on multiple robots.

The background for this image was made in JSPlacement, a very nifty little program for generating hi-tech looking textures and height maps.
