It's occurred to me that all these robot pics I've been posting recently look a little bit dull against plain white backgrounds, so this is my first attempt to remedy that. One of the best and worst things about being on this artistic journey is that it's a continuous learning curve. The best thing because one always has a sense of progress, the worst because I find myself looking at pictures I did a year ago and thinking "Ugh!"

This character is a delightfully clunky 1970s Micronauts toy that consisted of little more than a newly-sculpted head shamelessly grafted on to an existing toy's body, that toy being Biotron (or Robot Man in his Japanese incarnation). The molecular structure in the background was produced using an online tool called "MolView", located here.
