Carnation Lily Lily Rose

The other week I was seized by an impulse to visit Tate Britain and copy the picture below. I love John Singer Sargent's use of colour in his pictures, and have been feeling badly in need of an injection of colour in my own pictures. This one was a welcome break from all the monochrome I've been churning out recently.
