Blue Whale


I've decided to just post all my works-in-progress on here while there's time this evening. This seems to be how blogging works in my world; rather than a gradual, entry-a-day thing, it's more of a brain dump.

This one is the whale skeleton in the Natural History Museum's main hall which replaced the dinosaur a while ago. I've been trying to find ways on my computer to make the picture more interesting; as usual I'm happy with the drawing but not so much with the medium used. Ideally I'd like a filter that gives it the look of a print like those ones you see in art shops somewhere like Greenwich, but I don't know what search terms to use in Google. Googling "etching filter" always produces stark black-and-white pics with thick lines like the one shown here.
