Hope

My riff on the theme of Hope by George Frederic Watts (one of my favourite paintings - I used Watts' picture as my Facebook pic a while back and someone at church said they were a bit worried about me when they saw it. Which, sadly, goes to show that some people can't tell the difference between visual darkness and thematic darkness).

This one would probably worry them for the same reason, even though, in my opinion, it's quite a positive image, showing how one can nurture and foster something of beauty in even the most hostile of environments. It's also inspired by the image of the rose as a symbol of creation in a certain popular writer's series of fantasy books. I shall probably go back and colour it in at some point when time allows.

Cards

Alright, it's okay. It's all okay... The second batch of cards came through, and they're fine. A little overexposed, but at least you can...
