I've been spending quite a lot of time in the Victoria and Albert Museum recently, sketching the sculptures as they are very good models; unlike people made of meat, they don't twitch or fidget, they don't charge anything for their services and they've got much better proportions.
I've changed my approach to sketching over the last few months, beginning a picture with drawing the negative space outside the subject instead of what's inside it, and it's made the results a lot more interesting - not perfect, but certainly less tediously like my usual stuff.
