The Death of Frenzy

Soundwave was conspicuous by his absence from the first Michael Bay Transformers film and when he did arrive in the second it was with a revised alternate mode - understandably so, since turning into a cassette player wouldn't be much of a disguise in a film set in the late 2000s. Also, let's be honest - those of us who have owned cassette players know that the scenario I've illustrated here would be bound to happen sooner or later in a realistic Transformers universe.

That said, I really thought it was a shame they didn't keep Soundwave's voice from the cartoons as the sound of him ordering the spy cassettes to "eject" from his chest was easily one of the highlights of that show.
