My comic workshops are done for this year. There were only four this time, and two went very well, mainly - I feel - because the children attending them were older and as such they really got into the workshops, offering ideas and answering questions. The younger children tend to be a bit shyer and don't necessarily understand everything I'm talking about in my presentation. It can become a bit of a struggle when you're presented with a dozen blank faces and none of them want to show you what they've drawn afterwards.
As always, the girls wanted to draw stories about characters being friends, going for picnics and going to the beach, while the boys wanted to do stories about people being eaten by space monsters and the world being taken over by zombies.
