My fixation with weird 70s and 80s toys continues.
This guy was part of the Britains Space range in the early 80s. Most of the figures were static little tin soldier-sized spacemen and aliens, but this monstrosity was unleashed into toy shops at the tail end of the line. The main figure had a couple of smaller monsters that you could sort of "plug in" to his body (ick!), with the "master" sitting on top of the winged creature, while the little caterpillar thing had a detachable head that could be fired from its body. If H. P. Lovecraft had designed toys, he might well have come up with something like this.
