I bought an especially fine black brush pen from London Graphic Centre the other week and decided to test run it with this picture (which I'd already done in pencil) of a sculpture from the V & A. After it was finished I went over the outlines of the figure with thicker lines to make it stand out a bit more from the background.

It's always nice to push the boat out and dabble in a different medium and it's a real confidence booster if the results don't look completely disastrous. Of course, now I'm retrospectively reassessing all my previous drawings and considering going over them with black pen.
