The perils of making it up as you're going along.

Having spent the past year working on my Tortoise and Hare pictures while on a massive learning curve, I've got very frustrated and taken a long break from the project before finally coming back to it with fresh eyes. Job 1 post-break has been stripping all the colour and fancy adornment (e.g. airbrushed clouds) away and starting over with black and white, getting the drawing problems dealt with rather than ploughing on and hoping for the best. (I still haven't written an ending for this blasted thing!)
